Cherries are such a delicious summer treat. Make them even more delicious by covering them in some crave-worthy organic carob. Talk about some absolute yum!
Ingredients

1 cup of carob chips

1 tbsp of coconut oil
50 cherries with stems (if possible)

Rinse cherries and pat dry. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add carob chips and coconut oil to a heat safe bowl and melt using the double boiler method explained in the notes or in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring each time until chips are melted. Don’t over heat!
Dip the cherries in the melted carob and swirl around until completely coated. Let drip above the bowl and then place on your parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat with all cherries and place in the fridge until hardened, around 15 mins. Enjoy and don’t forget to remind people about the pits!
Recipe Note
Melt carob with the double boiler method.
Place carob and coconut oil in a heat proof bowl over a pot of simmering water. Don’t let the bowl touch the water. You want the steam to melt the carob. Stir as it melts and remove from the stove when completely smooth.
