Finally! A non-chocolate treat for those of us that are allergic to chocolate! These Carob cookies and brownies taste amazing! Thank you MISSYJ!

Way too many carob chips!

I'm new to the world of carob and wanted to get away from eating as much chocolate due to lead and cadmium concerns.
Discovered Missy J's and the nice line of products available, put in the $100 order, to try a lot of different products.
Shipping experience wasn't good as Missy J's does not send text or updates on shipping even though it's a weather sensitive product. Items arrived exceedingly well packed only a day earlier than predicted, and I wasn't aware, therefore the order sat out in the hot Tucson sun for 6 hours. According to customer service they don't send out texts but they do (a lot) for advertisements. Not happy about that. No matter how small the business nor how noble the cause there's no excuse for poor customer service and primitive communication.
I found that both of these were so overpowered by the carob chips that it overwhelmed all the other flavors! It's like there was a 1/2 bag of carob chips with a few other ingredients. I even tried taking some of the chips out but it didn't help much. I was disappointed because I thought it would have a balanced flavor and would be my new go-to recipe, but alas I will not purchase either of these again, nor do I recommend them. Looks good, tastes, blah...
